Abstract

Abstract An optical molding method including the step of radiating a light flux onto a photocurable fluid substance while moving the light flux in such a manner as to draw a section of a target object so as to cure the irradiated portion, characterized in that a plurality of light fluxes having different diameters are used in such a manner that only a light flux having a large diameter, or both a light flux having a large diameter and a light flux having a small diameter are used for a section having a thickness larger than the diameter of the light flux having a large diameter, while only a light flux having a small diameter is used for a section having a thickness smaller than the diameter of the light flux having a large diameter.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 14
Claim 1
Independent Claim 185 words
An optical molding method comprising the steps of: forming a cured object on or beneath a base which is movably provided in a container by radiating light onto a photocurable fluid substance accommodated in said container while moving said light in such a manner as to draw a section of a target object and curing the irradiated portion; and laminating cured layers in series by repeating the process of moving said base at a predetermined pitch, coating said cured object with a photocurable fluid substance and radiating light; wherein said light flux is composed of a plurality of light fluxes having different diameters used in such a manner that only a light flux having a large diameter, or both a light flux having a large diameter and a light flux having a small diameter are irradiated for curing a section having a thickness larger than the diameter of said light flux having a large diameter, while only a light flux having a small diameter is radiated for curing a section having a thickness smaller than the diameter of said light flux having a large diameter.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 185 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 63 words
A method according to Claim 1, wherein after said light flux having a large diameter is radiated so as to schematically cure said photocurable fluid substance at the main part of said target object, said light flux having a small diameter is radiated so as to cure a photocurable fluid substance at the detailed portions and the surface portions of said target object.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 63 words
A method according to Claim 1, wherein after said light flux having a small diameter is radiated so as to cure a photocurable fluid substance at the detailed portions and the surface portions of said target object, said light flux having a large diameter is radiated so as to schematically cure said photocurable fluid substance at the main part of said target object.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 62 words
A method according to Claim 1, wherein said light flux having a small diameter and said light flux having a large diameter are radiated at the same time so as to simultaneously cure a photocurable fluid substance at the detailed portions and the surface portion of said target object and a photocurable fluid substance at the main part of said target object.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 33 words
A method according to Claim 1, wherein said light flux having a small diameter and said light flux having a larger diameter are alternately radiated so as to cure said photocurable fluid substance.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 22 words
A method according to Claim 1, wherein said light flux having a large diameter has a diameter of 2 to 10 mm.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 22 words
A method according to Claim 1, wherein said light flux having a small diameter has a diameter of 0.1 to 1 mm.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 38 words
A method according to Claim 6, wherein a light source for said light flux having a large diameter is either of an Ar laser and a condensing type mercury lamp having an output of 100 to 5000 mW.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 36 words
A method according to Claim 7, wherein a light source for said light flux having a small diameter is either of an He-Cd laser and an Ar laser having an output of 10 to 40 mW.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 35 words
A method according to Claim 1, wherein the scanning of said light flux having a small diameter and said light flux having a large diameter is carried out by the operation of an X-Y table.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim 32 words
A method according to Claim 1, wherein said photocurable fluid substance is one selected from the group consisting of modified polyurethane methacrylate, origo-ester acrylate, urethane acrylate, epoxy acrylate, photosensitive polyimide and aminoalkyd.
Claim 13
Dependent Claim 34 words
A method according to Claim 1, wherein two kinds of light fluxes, namely, a light flux having a large diameter and a light flux having a small diameter are used as said light flux.
Claim 14
Dependent Claim 41 words
A method according to Claim 1, wherein three kinds of light fluxes, namely, a light flux having a large diameter, a light flux having a medium diameter and are light flux having a small diameter are used as said light flux.
