Electrical connection organ for electrical components and its manufacturing process

Abstract

Abstract The connection element (2) is constituted by a metal sheet rolled over itself which provides a socket-shaped portion (2a) intended for receiving the conductor of an electronic component, and a pin-shaped portion (2b) intended for engaging in a printed-circuit board. The portion (2a) has three cut-out tabs (2c) folded over towards the outside which are intended for assembling the connection element with the support of electronic components, which is insulating and on which the connection element (2) is mounted, and three tabs (2d) folded over towards the inside, which are gold-plated and provide the electrical contact with the conductor of an electronic component engaged in the socket (2a). The connection element (2) is obtained by cutting- out/bending/edge-rolling, the gold-plating being carried out before the edge-rolling and after saving the blank, so that only the tabs (2d) are coated. <IMAGE>
