Abstract An optical radar, particularly a laser radar for recording range images or reflection images, having a light source, a light receiver and a processing unit, the light source and the receiver being constructed as diode rows which operate in conjunction with one or more imaging optics in such a manner that a light pulse from a particular transmitter diode is imaged on a particular receiver diode after reflection in a particular scanning field of the objective lens. <IMAGE>
