Annular slot antenna

Abstract

Abstract A plurality of concentric annular slot antennas, possibly with a central unipole (13), are provided as a multi-band omnidirectional antenna being installed in recessed fashion in a metallic surface (1). The annular slot antennas, having a trench-shaped annular slot (7,12), are in each case supplied via a coaxial line (2,8), a set-back junction point (4,9) and a plurality of coaxial line pieces (5,6; 10,11) which are connected evenly to the respective annular slot and are guided in the form of a basket such that there is space in each case in the central region (interior of the basket) for the annular slot antennas of the higher frequency bands. The annular slot antenna according to the invention is suitable for use as an omnidirectional, multi-band aircraft transponder antenna which is terminated flush with the aircraft outer skin. <IMAGE>
