Abstract
Abstract In an optical cable with an elongated profiled body, which has helical grooves for accommodating optical conductors, the optical conductors being combined into flat ribbons that are stacked one on top of another, it is provided that the grooves arranged around the longitudinal axis of the profiled body have an approximately rectangular profile, and that there is provided on the base surface of each groove an elastic mass which can be compressed by the optical ribbons stacked thereover.
