Abstract Translated from German Bei einer Einrichtung zur Codierung von Videosignalen, insbesondere für ein Schmalband-Bildtelefon, wobei in einer DPCM-Schleife ein Filter vorgesehen ist, erfolgt in Abhängigkeit von den jeweiligen Prädiktionsfehlern die Codierung aufgrund von gefilterten oder ungefilterten Prädiktionswerten. In the case of a device for coding video signals, in particular for a narrowband videophone, with a filter being provided in a DPCM loop, the coding is carried out on the basis of filtered or unfiltered prediction values, depending on the respective prediction errors.
