Data processing apparatus

Claim 2

A data processing apparatus including input means for inputting a record comprising words, input record storage means for storing an input record, file storage means for storing a plurality of records, and outputting means for outputting a record, characterized in that there are provided: update designation data storage means (18) for storing designation data for transforming an input record into an update record, the designation data comprising data for designating a record keyword, data for designating a data word, a file keyword and data for designating the contents of an update word; update record generating means (14, Fig. 4) for extracting words serving as the record keyword and the data word from the input record stored in said input record storage means (21), in accordance with the designation data in said update designation data storage means, and for generating an update record comprising the extracted record keyword, the extracted data word, the file keyword, and the designated update word; update record storage means (23) for storing the generated update record; update processing means (15, 19, Fig. 7) for reading out the generated update record from said update record storage means, and for performing a processing of a type corresponding to data of the update word in the generated update record, on the records in the file stored in said file storage means (24) and designated by the record keyword; and in that the generated update record includes an update word designating the type of the processing.

Claim 3

A data processing apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that the update word stored in said update record storage means includes any of addi­tion, deletion, collection, and totalization of records, in accordance with data designating the contents of the update word stored in said designation data storage means; and said update processing means including means (15, 19, A4 of Fig. 7) for detecting the update word of the update record read out from said update record storage means, and for performing any of addition, deletion, correction and totalization on the records in said file storage means, in accordance with the detected update word.

Claim 4

A data processing apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that said update processing means includes: means (15, 19, A1 of Fig. 7) for sorting a plu­rality of update records stored in said update record storage means using, as a sort keyword, the file keyword, record keyword and update word; and means (15, 19, A2-A5 of Fig. 7) for reading out the records in said file storage means and performing any of addition, deletion, correction, and totalization of records in accordance with data of the update word of the update record, in the sorted order, after the completion of the sorting by said sorting means.

Claim 5

A data processing apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that there are further provided: output record designating means (26, Fig. 10) for designating a record to be read out from said file storage means, and for designating a word arrangement of the read-out record; output record generating means (25, Fig. 12, Figs. 11(a)-11(c)) for reading out the designated record from said file storage means and for generating an output record from the respective words of the read-out designated record; output record storage means (21, Fig. 13) for storing the generated output record; form storage means (28, Fig. 15, Figs. 16A-16E) for storing a form of the output records; form control means (27, 29, Fig. 17, Figs. 18A-18D) for appending the form in said form storage means to the output record read out from said output record storage means and for supplying the output record to which the form is appended, to said output means; and designation data input means (11) for inputting designation data to said update designation data storage means, to said output record designation means, and to said form storage means, respectively.

Claim 6

A data processing apparatus according to claim 4, characterized in that said update processing means (15, 19) further comprises means for arranging and writing the respective records of a file, including the updated record into said file storage means, by files and in accordance with the record keywords, after the update record is updated.

A data processing apparatus including input means for inputting a record comprising words, input record storage means for storing an input record, file storage means for storing a plurality of records, and outputting means for outputting a record, characterized in that there are provided: record designation data storage means (17, Fig. 3, 33, Fig. 25, Figs. 29A-29C) for storing record desig­nation data for designating an input record and for rendering respective words in the input record to correspond to respective words in a basic record; basic record generating means (13, Fig. 3, 32) for arranging the words in said designated input record, into corresponding words of a basic record, and for generating a basic record having a predetermined form; basic record storage means (22, 35) for storing the generated basic record; file designation data storage means (18, Fig. 4, 37, Figs. 27A-27D) for storing the designation data for making correspondence between respective words in the generated basic record and respective words in a predetermined record in said file storage means, the designation data comprising data designating words used as a record keyword and data words; update record generating means (14, Fig. 4, 36, S1-S3 of Fig. 28) for extracting the words serving as the record keyword and data words, respectively, from the generated basic record stored in said basic record storage means, and generating an update record corre­sponding to a record format of a record in said file storage means; update processing means (15, Fig. 7, 38, S4-S5 of Fig. 28) for reading out the update record generated by said update record generating means, and for performing a processing on the records stored in said file storage means and designated by a record keyword in the update record, in accordance with the contents of a data word in the update record.

Claim 8

A data processing apparatus including input means for inputting a record comprising words, input record storage means for storing an input record, file storage means for storing a plurality of records, and outputting means for outputting a record, characterized in that there are provided: record designation data storage means (17, Fig. 3, 33, Fig. 25, Figs. 29A-29C) for storing record desig­nation data for designating an input record and for rendering respective words in the input record to correspond to respective words in a basic record; basic record generating means (13, Fig. 3, 32) for arranging the words in said designated input record, into corresponding words of a basic record, and for generating a basic record having a predetermined form; basic record storage means (22, 35) for storing the generated basic record; file designation data storage means (18, Fig. 4, 37, Figs. 27A-27D) for storing the designation data for making correspondence between respective words in the generated basic record and respective words in a predetermined record in said file storage means, the designation data comprising data designating words used as a record keyword and data words; update record generating means (14, Fig. 4, 36, S1-S3 of Fig. 28) for extracting the words serving as the record keyword and data words, respectively, from the generated basic record stored in said basic record storage means, and generating an update record corre­sponding to a record format of a record in said file storage means; update processing means (15, Fig. 7, 38, S4-S5 of Fig. 28) for reading out the update record generated by said update record generating means, and for performing a processing on the records stored in said file storage means and designated by a record keyword in the update record, in accordance with the contents of a data word in the update record.

Claim 9

A data processing apparatus according to claim 6, characterized in that the basic record (Figs. 29A-29C) stored in said basic record storage means comprises predetermined words including at least date, slip number, amount, debtor account, debtor customer, debtor details, creditor account, creditor customer, creditor details, person in charge, item code, quantity, and unit price.

Claim 10

A data processing apparatus according to claim 6, characterized in that there are provided: input means (11, 31) for inputting respective designation data to said record designation data storage means and to said file designation data storage means; and means for arbitrarily making correspondence between respective words in an input record and respective words in a basic record, and a correspondence between respec­tive words in the basic record and respective words in a record in said file.

A data processing apparatus according to claim 6, characterized in that there are further provided: output record designating means (26, Fig. 10) for designating a record to be read out from said file storage means, and for designating a word arrangement of the read-out record; output record generating means (25, Fig. 12, Figs. 11A-11C) for reading out the designated record from said file storage means and for generating an output record from the respective words of the read-out designated record; output record storage means (21, Fig. 13) for storing the generated output record; form storage means (28, Fig. 15, Figs. 16A-16E) for storing a form of the output records; form control means (27, 29, Fig. 17, Figs. 18A-18D) for appending the form in said form storage means to the output record read out from said output record storage means and for supplying the output record to which the form is appended, to said output means; and designation data input means (11) for inputting designation data to said update designation data storage means, to said output record designation means, and to said form storage means, respectively.

Claim 12

A data processing apparatus including input means for inputting a record comprising words, input record storage means for storing an input record, file storage means for storing a plurality of records, and outputting means for outputting a record, characterized in that there are provided: output record designating means (26, Fig. 10) for designating a record keyword for a record to be read out from said file storage means (24, Fig. 8); output record generating means (25, Fig. 12, Figs. 11A-11C) for reading out a record from said file storage means in accordance with the designation by said output record designating means, and for generating an output record; output record storage means (21, Fig. 13) for storing the generated output record; and in that record keywords in respective records stored in said file storage means are weighted to form a code constituting the record keyword; and said output record designating means includes means for designating a number of digits of the code, the code constituting the record keyword of the respective records stored in said file storage means; and said output record generating means includes means for generating a new output record from the output record read out from said file storage means, a record keyword of the new output record being derived from the designated number of digits.

Claim 13

A data processing apparatus including input means for inputting a record comprising words, input record storage means for storing an input record, file storage means for storing a plurality of records, and outputting means for outputting a record, characterized in that there are provided: output record designating means (26, Fig. 10) for designating a record keyword for a record to be read out from said file storage means (24, Fig. 8); output record generating means (25, Fig. 12, Figs. 11A-11C) for reading out a record from said file storage means in accordance with the designation by said output record designating means, and for generating an output record; output record storage means (21, Fig. 13) for storing the generated output record; and in that record keywords in respective records stored in said file storage means are weighted to form a code constituting the record keyword; and said output record designating means includes means for designating a number of digits of the code, the code constituting the record keyword of the respective records stored in said file storage means; and said output record generating means includes means for generating a new output record from the output record read out from said file storage means, a record keyword of the new output record being derived from the designated number of digits.

Claim 14

A data processing apparatus according to claim 10, characterized in that said record keywords are successively weighted from the upper digit thereof, and said output record designating means designates an upper digit code comprising a number of digits of the code beginning from its upper digit.

Claim 15

A data processing apparatus, according to claim 11, characterized in that there is further pro­vided totalized record generating means for selecting the upper digit code as the record keyword, for tota­lizing output records having identical record keywords, and for generating a single totalized record, whereby various totalized records of various types are obtained by selectively designating upper digits of the code constituting the upper digit code to form a record keyword.

Claim 16

A data processing apparatus including input means for inputting a record comprising words, input record storage means for storing an input record, file storage means for storing a plurality of records, and outputting means for outputting a record, characterized in that there are provided: storage means (21, Fig. 13) for storing a plurality of output data; designating means (28, Fig. 15, Figs. 16A-16E) for designating framing data for framing at least one of the output data, and a reference output position for the framing data; and from control means (27, 29, Fig 17, Figs. 18A-18C) for outputting, in response to outputting said at least one of said stored output data, said designated framing data, at a position based on the reference output position so as to surround said at least one of said reference output position each time said at least one of the output data is output, thereby outputting a number of frame data corresponding to a number of output data.

Claim 17

A data processing apparatus including input means for inputting a record comprising words, input record storage means for storing an input record, file storage means for storing a plurality of records, and outputting means for outputting a record, characterized in that there are provided: storage means (21, Fig. 13) for storing a plurality of output data; designating means (28, Fig. 15, Figs. 16A-16E) for designating framing data for framing at least one of the output data, and a reference output position for the framing data; and from control means (27, 29, Fig 17, Figs. 18A-18C) for outputting, in response to outputting said at least one of said stored output data, said designated framing data, at a position based on the reference output position so as to surround said at least one of said reference output position each time said at least one of the output data is output, thereby outputting a number of frame data corresponding to a number of output data.

Claim 18

A data processing apparatus according to claim 13, characterized in that said designating means comprises means (28, Fig. 15) for designating field-­framing lines of four sides for surrounding the output data, and for designating a presence/absence of the respective field-framing lines of four sides.

Claim 19

A data processing apparatus according to claim 13, characterized in that: said designating means comprises means for designating field-framing lines (28, Fig. 15) of four sides surrounding the output data; and said form control means includes means (27, 29, Fig. 19) for arranging the output data at a position closer to a lower field-framing line among the four-side field framing lines surrounding the output data.

Claim 20

A data processing apparatus according to claim 13, characterized in that: said storage means includes means (21, Fig. 13) for storing a plurality of different types of record data; said designating means includes means (28, Fig. 15, Figs. 16A-16E) for designating framing data corresponding to the types of the respective record data; said form control means includes means (27, C3 of Fig. 17) for determining a type of the record data, and for outputting, together with the record data, the designated framing data whose type corresponds to the discriminated type, thereby outputting framing data corresponding to the type of the record data.

Claim 21

A data processing apparatus according to claim 16, characterized in that said designating means includes means for designating a line type corresponding to the types of the respective record data.

Claim 22

A data processing apparatus according to claim 16, characterized in that: detecting means for detecting the types of the record data to be output at a start position of a suc­ceeding framing format; and wherein said form control means includes means for out­putting framing data for framing a record data to be output at a final position of the first framing format and a completing data designating the types of the record data to be output at the start position of the next succeeding framing format corresponding to the detection result of said detecting means, in the case where a record data and a framing data framing the record data are output at the final position within the first framing format.

Claim 23

A data processing apparatus according to claim 13, characterized in that: said storage means includes for storing record data corresponding to totalizing levels; said designating means includes means for designating field-framing lines corresponding to the totalizing levels of the respective record data; comparing means for comparing a totalizing level of the record data output in a final position of a form, with a totalizing level of the record data output at a start position of a succeeding form; and wherein said form control means includes means for out­putting field-framing lines framing a record data output at a final position of a form, and a completing line corresponding to the types of the record data output at the start position of the next succeeding form, when said comparing means designates that the totalizing level of the record data output at the start position of the succeeding form is higher than the totalizing level of the record data to be output at the final position of the form, in the case where the field-­framing lines framing the record data, and the record data are output at the final position within the form.

Claim 24

A data processing method including inputting a record comprising words, storing an input record, storing records by file, and outputting a record, characterized by comprising the steps of: forming each record in said files from a record keyword and a data word, and said records being classified by files, each record being stored according to its record keyword; storing at least one update record each comprising a file keyword designating one of said files, a record keyword designating a record of said designated file, data words to be processed, and an update word desig­nating a type of an update processing operation to be performed, reading out said stored update record; and performing a processing operation corresponding to the contents of the update word in the read out update record, on a record in a given file designated by the file keyword and the record keyword of the read out update record.

Claim 25

A data processing method including inputting a record comprising words, storing an input record, storing records by file, and outputting a record, characterized by comprising the steps of: forming each record in said files from a record keyword and a data word, and said records being classified by files, each record being stored according to its record keyword; storing at least one update record each comprising a file keyword designating one of said files, a record keyword designating a record of said designated file, data words to be processed, and an update word desig­nating a type of an update processing operation to be performed, reading out said stored update record; and performing a processing operation corresponding to the contents of the update word in the read out update record, on a record in a given file designated by the file keyword and the record keyword of the read out update record.

Claim 26

A data processing method according to claim 20, characterized in that: the update word in an update record comprises any of an addition of a record, a deletion of a record, a correction of a record, and a totalization of a record; and said step of performing said processing opera­tion includes detecting the update word in said read out update record, and performing on the record of said given file any of addition, deletion, correction, and totalization operations, in accordance with said detected update word.

Claim 27

A data processing method according to claim 20, characterized in that said step of performing said processing operation includes: sorting said stored update records in the order of the file keyword, in the order of the record keyword, and in the order of the update word; and continuously updating, in the sorted order, records of respective files.

Claim 28

A data processing method according to claim 20, characterized in that: said stored update records and said records of respective files are divided by a record delimiter; and each word of said stored update records and said records of respective files comprises variable-length data divided by a word delimiter.

Claim 29

A data processing method according to claim 23, characterized in that one of said stored update record and said records of respective files, includes one of a keyword delimiter and a given number of words from the beginning of the record, discrimi­nating the record keyword and data word.

Claim 30

A data processing method according to claim 20, characterized by further comprising: designating designation data for transforming an input record into an update record, the designation data comprising data fro designating a record keyword of an input record, data for designating a data word of an input record, data for designating a file keyword, and an update data designating the contents of an update word; extracting from said input record, a word serving as a record keyword, and a word serving as a data word, in accordance with said designated designation data; and generating an update record including the extracted keyword, the extracted data word, the contents of the update data and the designated file keyword.

Claim 31

A data processing method according to claim 20, characterized by further comprising: designating a record to be extracted from said stored records, and designating a correspondence between respective words in the extracted record and respective words in an output record; reading out from said stored records, the record designated to be extracted; generating an output record having a new word structure from the words in the read-out record, in accordance with said designated correspondence; and storing the generated output record.

Claim 32

A data processing method according to claim 26, characterized by further comprising: designating framing data for framing at least one of the output record, and a reference output position for the framing data; and outputting, in response to outputting said at least one of said stored output record, said designated frame data, at a position based on the reference output posi­tion so as to surround said at least one of the output records, and updating said reference output position each time said at least one of the output records is output, thereby outputting a number of frame data corresponding to a number of output records.

Claim 33

A data processing method according to claim 20, characterized by further comprising: designating designation data for transforming an input record into an update record, the designation data comprising data for designating a record keyword of an input record, data for designating a data word of an input record, data for designating a file keyword, and an update data designating the contents of an update word; extracting from said input record, a word serving as a record keyword, and a word serving as a data word, in accordance with said designated designation data; generating an update record including the extracted keyword, the extended data word, the contents of the update data and the designated file keyword; and said data processing method updating a file from an input record by said update record in accordance with the designation of the designation data.

Claim 34

A data processing method according to claim 28, characterized in that the contents of the update data in said generated update record designates any of addition, deletion, correction, and totalization of the record.

Claim 35

A data processing method according to claim 28, characterized in that each word in said generated update record comprises variable-length data divided by a word delimiter, and each update record is individually divided by a record delimiter.

Claim 36

A data processing method according to claim 30, characterized in that said generated update record includes an identifier for discriminating a record keyword and a data word by one of a keyword delimiter and a number of words from the beginning of the record.

Claim 37

A data processing method according to claim 28, characterized by further comprising: storing records comprising a first set of records each of which comprises a record keyword and a data word, and a second set of records obtained by totaling records of the first set of records having a common record keyword portion, the second set of records having record keywords corresponding to said common record keyword portion; and said step of generating an update record includes generating an update record having record keyword corresponding to said common record keyword portion when the designation data in said update designation data includes a designation data designating the common record keyword portion.

Claim 38

A data processing method according to claim 32, characterized in that said record keywords have a plurality of digits, and said common record keyword portion comprises at least one upper significant digit.

Claim 39

A data processing method including inputting a record comprising words, storing an input record, storing records in a file, and outputting a record, characterized by comprising: designating basic record designation data for indicating a correspondence between respective words in an input record and respective words in a basic record; generating basic record by arranging words in the input record, in corresponding word positions in the basic record, whereby an input record comprising an arbitrary word structure is transformed into the basic record of a predetermined word structure, in accordance with said designated basic record designation data; and storing the generated basic record.

Claim 40

A data processing method including inputting a record comprising words, storing an input record, storing records in a file, and outputting a record, characterized by comprising: designating basic record designation data for indicating a correspondence between respective words in an input record and respective words in a basic record; generating basic record by arranging words in the input record, in corresponding word positions in the basic record, whereby an input record comprising an arbitrary word structure is transformed into the basic record of a predetermined word structure, in accordance with said designated basic record designation data; and storing the generated basic record.

Claim 41

A data processing method according to claim 34, characterized in that each word in said generated basic record comprises variable-length data divided by a word delimiter, and each record is divided by a record delimiter.

Claim 42

A data processing method according to claim 34, characterized by further comprising: designating file designation data for making correspondence between respective words in the generated basic record and respective words in a predetermined record in a file, the file designation data comprising data designating words used as a record keyword and data words, and data designating a file to be updated; extracting the words serving as the record keyword and data words, respectively, from said generated basic record, and generating an update record corresponding to a record format of a file; performing a processing on the records in the file designated by a record keyword in said generated update record, in accordance with the contents of a data word in said generated update record.

Claim 43

A data processing method according to claim 36, characterized in that the basic record com­prises predetermined words including at least date, slip number, amount, debtor account, debtor customer, debtor details, creditor account, creditor customer, creditor details, person in charge, item code, quantity, and unit price.

Claim 44

A data processing method according to claim 36, wherein: inputting the record designation data and the file designation data, and arbitrarily making correspondence between respective words in an input record and respec­tive words in a basic record, and a correspondence between respective words in the basic record and respective words in a record in said file.

Claim 45

A data processing method including inputting a record comprising words, storing an input record, storing records in a file, and outputting a record characterized by further comprising the steps of: forming each record in said file from a record keyword and a data word, the records being stored in an order based on the record keyword; designating a record to be extracted from said stored records, and designating a correspondence between respective words in the extracted record and respective words in an output record; reading out from said stored records the record designated to be extracted; generating an output record having a new word structure from the words in the read-out record, in accordance with said designated correspondence; and storing the generated output record.

Claim 46

A data processing method including inputting a record comprising words, storing an input record, storing records in a file, and outputting a record characterized by further comprising the steps of: forming each record in said file from a record keyword and a data word, the records being stored in an order based on the record keyword; designating a record to be extracted from said stored records, and designating a correspondence between respective words in the extracted record and respective words in an output record; reading out from said stored records the record designated to be extracted; generating an output record having a new word structure from the words in the read-out record, in accordance with said designated correspondence; and storing the generated output record.

Claim 47

A data processing method according to claim 38, characterized by further comprising: storing respective output records in accordance with the contents of a keyword in the respective generated output records; and totalizing output records having the same keyword and generating a signal output record after the comple­tion of the storing performed by said sorting step.

Claim 48

A data processing method according to claim 39, characterized in that: said step of designating includes designating a keyword portion of output records for totaling the words of output records having the designated keyword; and said step of generating includes generating a total record obtained by totaling the output records in accordance with said designated keyword portion.

Claim 49

A data processing method according to claim 41, characterized by further comprising: arranging output records and total records in accordance with record keywords.

Claim 50

A data processing method according to claim 39, characterized in that said generated output records are individually divided by a record delimiter, and words in each output record are individually divided by a word delimiter, each word comprising variable-­length data, and a keyword and a data word in each out­put record by one of a keyword delimiter and a number of words from a beginning of an output record.

Claim 51

A data processing method includes inputting a record comprising words, storing an input record, storing records in a file, and outputting a record, characterized by comprising: storing a plurality of output data; designating framing data for framing at least one of the output data, and a reference output position for the framing data; and outputting, in response to outputting said at least one of said stored output data, said designed framing data, at a position based on the reference output posi­tion so as to surround said at least one of the output data, and updating said reference output position each time said at least one of the output data is output, thereby outputting a number of frame data corresponding to a number of output data.

Claim 52

A data processing method includes inputting a record comprising words, storing an input record, storing records in a file, and outputting a record, characterized by comprising: storing a plurality of output data; designating framing data for framing at least one of the output data, and a reference output position for the framing data; and outputting, in response to outputting said at least one of said stored output data, said designed framing data, at a position based on the reference output posi­tion so as to surround said at least one of the output data, and updating said reference output position each time said at least one of the output data is output, thereby outputting a number of frame data corresponding to a number of output data.

Claim 53

A data processing method according to claim 44, characterized in that the framing data includes data designating field-framing lines of four sides for surrounding the output data, and designating a presence/absence of the respective field-framing lines of four sides.

Claim 54

A data processing method according to claim 44, characterized by further comprising the framing data in said designating means comprising designating field-framing lines of four sides surround­ing the output data, and arranging the output data at a position closer to a lower field-framing line among the four-side field framing lines surrounding the output data.

Claim 55

A data processing method according to claim 44, characterized in that: said step of storing includes storing a plurality of different types of record data; said step of designating includes designating framing data for framing a record data to be output and an output position of the record data to be framed, the framing data corresponding to the types of the respective record data; discriminating a type of said read-out record data; and said step of outputting includes outputting, together with the read-out record data, the designated framing data whose type corresponds to the discriminated type, thereby outputting framing data corresponding to the type of the read-out record data.

A data processing method according to claim 47, wherein said framing data defines a line type corresponding to the types of the respective record data.

Claim 57

A data processing method according to claim 44, characterized in that: said step of storing includes storing record data corresponding to totalizing levels; said step of designating includes designating field-framing lines for framing a record data to be out­put and designating an output position, corresponding to the totalizing levels of the respective record data; comparing a totalizing level of the record data output in a final position of a form, with a totalizing level of the record data output at a start position of a succeeding form; and said step of outputting includes outputting field-­framing lines framing a record data output at a final position of a form, and a completing line corresponding to the types of the record data output at the start position of the next succeeding form, when said step of comparing designates that the totalizing level of the record data output at the start position of the suc­ceeding form is higher than the totalizing level of the record data to be output at the final position of the form, in the case where the field-framing lines framing the record data, and the record data are output at the final position within the form.

Claim 58

A data processing method according to claim 47, characterized by further comprising detecting the types of the record data to be output at a start position of a succeeding framing format; and charac­terized in that said step of outputting further includes outputting framing data for framing a record data to be output at a final position of the first framing format and a com­pleting data designating the types of the record data to be output at the start position of the next succeeding framing format corresponding to the detected type, in the case where a record data and a framing data framing the record data are output at the final position within the first framing format.
