Abstract

Abstract Apparatus for producing a mat of continuous filaments which, under the action of a gaseous propellant, are drawn at high speed in bundle form out of holes in spinneret plates of a spinneret pack and, after passing through a filament take-off apparatus, are deposited by means of a deposition device designed as a spreading device onto a conveyor belt moving in the machine direction. Two spinneret packs are arranged spaced apart in the machine direction, and at least one spinneret pack is rotatable, together with the deposition and spreading device, in a plane which extends parallel to the conveyor belt. In operation, this makes it possible to produce a mat of altered appearance or a new mat product. <IMAGE>
