Abstract
Abstract There is described a pyrazolone colour coupler of general formula I : <CHEM> wherein X is a halogen atom, Y and Z are hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, aryl alkoxy, aryloxy, amido or sulphonamido, R1 is an alkyl group having at least 6 carbon atoms, R2 is substituted phenyl and R3 is a long chain ballasting group group which renders the colour coupler oil-soluble.
