Abstract
Abstract The active carbon filter layer for gas masks is essentially composed of highly air-permeable sheet-like structures placed one on top of the other and having a layer fixed thereon and consisting of particulate or spherical active carbon particles having a diameter of 0.1 to 1 mm, and its pressure loss is less than 10 mm (water column) for a thickness of 4 cm and with a circular cross-section of 100 cm<2> when 1 l/sec of air flows through.
