Abstract
Abstract In the conveyor belt (19) made of rubber or rubber-like plastic and having embedded tensioning supports (20, 21) running in the longitudinal direction, it being possible to close the belt (19) by overlapping its longitudinal edges to form a tubular conveyor belt (19), the tensioning supports (20, 21), which extend substantially over the entire breadth of the conveyor belt, consist, inter alia, solely of cables or single cords whose mutual spacing and/or diameter in the overlapping region is other than that in the remaining belt region. Further tensioning support alternatives are described. <IMAGE>
