Abstract

In an implantable catheter device for experimental microsurgery, a tubular straight sleeve (10) has a cavity (13) at one end region, which cavity is closed on the end face of the sleeve (10) by an upper wall (14) that can be pierced with a needle. The other end region of the sleeve (10) forms a connection part (30) in which a clamping space (21) for receiving an elastomeric clamping piece (11) is formed, which surrounds a catheter (12). The piece of the connecting part (30) projecting over the clamping piece (11) is equipped with an internal thread (31) into which an external thread shaft (32) of a pressure piece (20) can be screwed. The end face of the external thread shaft (32) of the pressure piece (20) presses axially against the clamping piece (11) in order to press it radially against the catheter (12), which in this area is placed on a rigid support cannula (22), the lumen of which communicates with the cavity (13) and protrudes into the pressure piece (20). The catheter device can be dimensioned very small, so that it can be easily implanted with the smallest possible types of experimental animals. Infections, thrombosis or catheter rejection practically do not occur during the examination period.
