Abstract

Abstract Use, as stabilising agents for dispersions consisting of a water-insoluble phase in an aqueous phase, of polyacrylate-type polymers containing units of formula: <IMAGE> in which: R1 is hydrogen or an alkyl radical containing from 1 to 10 carbon atoms; R2 is a linear or branched hydrocarbon radical containing 1 to 12 carbon atoms, substituted by one or more optionally esterified hydroxyl groups, and whose Brookfield viscosity, measured at 20 DEG C, is between 200,000 and 800,000 mPa s. Application to cosmetic, alimentary or pharmaceutical compositions in the form of stabilised dispersions.
