Abstract

Abstract A computing apparatus for an improved information system that manages. The apparatus has computing machinery which includes a computer and an input/output device for two communcation between the computer and an operator. The computer includes operating instructions for: receiving information from an operator during a management emergence stage necessary for developing a plan in machine readable language for an objective (task/service); processing the plan through a management convergence stage for generating subdivisional plans for output to an operator and receiving performance information as feedback for reducing the objective to a reality; processing the management information and feedback information obtained during the emergence and convergence stages through a proliference stage for generating specifications and quantitative goals for a new version of the objective for processing through the emergence and convergence stages; and processing the accumulated management related data including the feedback through a divergence stage for producing new organizational policy.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 8
Claim 1
Independent Claim 212 words
A computerized management system comprising: computing machinery for automatically managing an organization, said computing machinery including: an input/output means for communicating management related information form an external source to a computer or from the computer to an external source; and a computer connected to the input/output means for processing continuously the management related information for the continuous management of the organization; said computer including means for receiving and processing the management related information received from an external source through an emergence stage for producing an organization task/service management plan in machine language for an objective; means for processing the plan through a management convergence stage for generating subdivisional plans for communication through the input/output means to an external source for reducing the objective to a reality in a controlled manner and for receiving feedback from an external source relating to objective achievement; means for processing the management related information including the feedback information generated during the emergence and convergence stages through a proliference stage for generating specifications and quantitative goals for a new version of the objective for processing through the emergence and convergence stages; and means for processing the accumulated management related data including feedback information generated during the convergence stage through a divergence stage for producing a new organizational policy.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 42 words
A computerized management system according to claim 1 wherein the means for receiving and processing the management related information for the emergence stage includes interrogative means for receiving information for a control system and means for receiving information for an operation/support system.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 102 words
A computerized management system according to claim 2 wherein the means for receiving and processing the management related information for the emergence stage control system includes: means for conducting an interrogative dialogue with the external source for receiving for the plan a schedule of the tasks/services to be performed, information for estimating each task/service performance time, task/service priority, names of specific individuals performing each task/service, and calendar information for developing a subdivisional schedule based on Julian dates; means for filing the subdivisional schedule; and means for directing the efforts of the individuals on a day-to-day basis for performance of the scheduled tasks/services.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 80 words
A computerized management system according to claim 2 wherein the means for receiving and processing the management related information for the emergence stage operation/support system includes means for conducting an interrogative dialogue with the external source for determining information for the plan including a) quality and quantity goal information, b) work element descriptions and the name of the employee responsible for the completion and reporting of each task/service, and c) performance budget as well as line item budget as applicable.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 163 words
A computerized management system according to claim 1 wherein the means for processing the plan through a management convergence stage includes; for plication a) means for determining by priority each person's tasks/services for the day including work started but not completed the previous day, absolute scheduled tasks/services, and estimated dynamically scheduled tasks/services; b) means for calculating original cost in time (ATC) for all tasks/services for the daily work periods; c) means for calculating cost of the tasks/services; d) means using the time/cost for each task/service for recalculating the ATC for each estimated task/service and using the new ATC's to change the calendar; e) means for determining effectiveness data for each day; f) means for determining accumulated results of tasks/services, singly or in groups for comparison to the quantity goals on a daily basis; for replication, means for determining amount of time and money savings daily for product evolution; and for configuration, means for engaging different systematic entity using the time and money savings.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 101 words
A computerized management system according to claim 1 wherein the means for processing the management related information including the feedback information generated during the emergence and covergence stages through a proliference stage includes: a) means for conducting system analysis for producing a development plan for testing and a determination that the development plan reaches fittest implementation; b) means for determining whether additional funding is to be added based upon the market place value system of the objective; and c) testing the development plan through actual or simulated performance through complete cycles for establishing the plan's level of efficiency and goals-accomplishment effectiveness.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 73 words
A computerized management system according to claim 1 wherein the means for processing the accumulated management related data including feedback information generated during the convergence stage through a divergence stage includes means: for decoupling and bringing together in a concentrated form the fittest subdivisional development plans in a concentrated form as a new organizational policy; and means for initializing the new policy or converting the old policy the the new policy is required.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 28 words
A computerized management system according to claim 1 wherein the system is applicable to an objective selected from the group consisting of basic research, applied research, and development.
