Linear image sensor
Abstract
Abstract In a linear image sensor for scanning optical information by means of the relative movement between the information carrier and the image sensor, which is formed by photodiodes (5, 6), a difference signal is to be formed in a simple manner between two picture element information items which are adjacent in the direction of movement. There are two parallel rows of photodiodes (5, 6) which are located perpendicularly to the direction of movement (16). Two adjacent photodiodes (5, 6) of the two rows have a common electrode (17), at which the difference signal, which is supplied to the subsequent signal processing circuit (10, 11, 12), of the illumination of the two adjacent photodiodes (5, 6) is picked up. <IMAGE>
