Abstract The administration and maintenance communication means are distributed on three structural levels in such a manner that in a circuit engineering task structure (DH), terminal-type-specific administration and maintenance device program modules (AMT, AMF, AMS) for generating logic administration and maintenance messages or adjustment data for administration and maintenance terminals (T) are provided, in a coordination task structure (LDU PD) a coordination program module (SES CON) for controlling the administration and maintenance information and data flow is provided and in an application task structure (LDU VD) at least one application program module (AMA) for handling application-oriented functions is provided. <IMAGE>
