Abstract

Abstract A fuel injection nozzle with needle lift sensor has a nozzle body (1) and a nozzle holder (8) connected to this via an intermediate plate (4). Between an annular shoulder (23) on the nozzle needle (3) and the intermediate plate (4) a working air gap (1) is provided. A coil (16) is radially separated from a hole (5) in the intermediate plate defined by the ferromagnetic material of the intermediate plate (4), the flux determining the magnetic circuit of the coil (16) running via the section (19), located between the coil (16) and the hole (5), of the intermediate plate (4) and via the working air gap (1). <IMAGE>
