Abstract A power supply circuit for supplying an electric current to a plurality of circuits in turn. The power source circuit comprises a voltage source (5). a resistor (4) connected at its one end to the voltage source (5), a first current path (1) connected at its one end to the other end of the resistor (4) and including a first driver circuit (12), a second current path (2) connected at its one end to the other end of the resistor (4) and including a second driver circuit (22), and a controller (3) for driving the first and second driver circuits (12,22) alternately. The controller (3) controls the driving intervals for the first and second driver circuits (12, 22) so that the first current path (1) will conduct for a period of time longer than the required period of time and that the second current path (22) will cut off for a period of time shorter than the allowable period of time.

Claim 1
Independent Claim
185 words
1 . A power supply circuit comprising: a first current path (1) which needs a power supply for at least a predetermined time; a second current path (2) which allows a break of a power supply for at least said predetermined time: a voltage from a power source (5) is applied through a resistor (4) in parallel to one end of each of said first and second current paths (1, 2), each of said first and second current paths (1, 2) having first and second driver circuits (12. 22). respectively. each of which driver circuits (12- 22) controls the current from the power source (5) in the corresponding current path: each of said first and second driver circuits (12. 22) is driven alternatively by a controller (3): said controller (3) controls on-and-off timings of said first and second driver circuits (12. 22) so that said first current path (12) is maintained in an ON state for a time equal to or more than the time needed, and said second current path (22) is broken for a time equal to or less than the time allowed.

A power supply circuit according to claim 1. having a switch (11). the open/close state of which should be detected, connected between said first driver circuit. (12) and said resistor (4) in said first current path (1). and a voltage detecting circuit (13) which detects the voltage of a terminal, at the side near said resistor (4). of said switch (11).
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
32 words
A power supply circuit according to claims 1 or 2. having a light-emitting device (21) connected between said second driver circuit (22) and said resistor (4) in said second current path (2).
