Abstract

The invention relates to a piezoelectric transducer with electrodes made of intrinsically conductive plastic that adhere well to both ceramics and plastics, and a method for its production. A conductive polymer layer is created on the surface of piezoceramic components by chemical or anodic oxidation of monomers. The monomers are selected from the class of five-membered heterocycles containing sulfur or nitrogen as heteroatoms, or aniline, azulene or derivatives of the compounds mentioned. The components provided with the inexpensive electrodes can advantageously be assembled into sandwich-type transducers with plastic intermediate layers, which have good electroacoustic properties.
