Abstract

Abstract A method of recording and reproducing information on a recording disk records a frequency modulated video signal in one outer region of a recording region of the disk, and records digital data associated with the video signal in another inner region of the recording region of the disk, and in reproduction, reads the digital data recorded in the outer region and stores the data in a data memory (8), and reads the video signal recorded in the inner region and simultaneously reading out the digital data stored in the data memory and in turn processes the digital data. Thus, the interaction between the recorded video signal and the recorded digital data is provided.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 12
Claim 1
Independent Claim 124 words
A method of recording and reproducing information on and from a disk, comprising the steps of: dividing an effective information recording region on one main surface of said disk into a first region on an inner peripheral side and a second region on an outer peripheral side; recording a video signal converted into a frequency modulation signal in said second region; recording digital data associated with said video signal in said first region; in reproduction, reading digital data recorded in said first region and storing said digital data in a data memory; and reading said video signal recorded in said second region and simultaneously reading out digital data stored in said digital memory and in turn processing said digital data at the same time.
Claim 2
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 49 words
A method as set forth in claim 1, characterized by storing said video signal read from said second region into a video memory; and reading out said video signal from said video memory and simultaneously reading out said digital data from said data memory and processing said digital data.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 26 words
A method as set forth in claim 2, wherein said video memory has a memory capacity capable of recording the video signal one TV field long.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 26 words
A method as set forth in claim 2, wherein said video memory has a memory capacity capable of recording the video signal one TV frame long.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 70 words
A recording disk having an effective recording region on one main surface of said recording disk, characterized in that said effective recording region is divided into a first region on an inner peripheral side and a second region on an outer peripheral side, said second region carrying a video signal which is converted into a frequency modulation signal, and said first region carrying digital data associated with said video signal.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 70 words
A recording disk having an effective recording region on one main surface of said recording disk, characterized in that said effective recording region is divided into a first region on an inner peripheral side and a second region on an outer peripheral side, said second region carrying a video signal which is converted into a frequency modulation signal, and said first region carrying digital data associated with said video signal.
Claim 8
Independent Claim 76 words
A method of reproducing information recorded on a disk having first and second recording region carrying digital data associated with a video signal and said video signal respectively, comprising the steps of: reading digital data recorded in said first region and storing said data in a data memory; and reading said video signal recorded in said second region and simultaneously reading out digital data stored in said digital memory and in turn processing said digital data.
Claim 9
Independent Claim 76 words
A method of reproducing information recorded on a disk having first and second recording region carrying digital data associated with a video signal and said video signal respectively, comprising the steps of: reading digital data recorded in said first region and storing said data in a data memory; and reading said video signal recorded in said second region and simultaneously reading out digital data stored in said digital memory and in turn processing said digital data.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 51 words
A method as set forth in claim 6, characterized by storing said video signal read from said second region into a video memory; and reading out said video signal from said video memory and simultaneously reading out said digital data from said data memory and in turn processing said digital data.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 26 words
A method as set forth in claim 7, wherein said video memory has a memory capacity capable of recording the video signal one TV field long.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim 26 words
A method as set forth in claim 7, wherein said video memory has a memory capacity capable of recording the video signal one TV frame long.
