Abstract

A flexible line element for exhaust gas lines of internal combustion engines in motor vehicles with a metal bellows (1) and connection pieces (2, 3) connected to it in a gas-tight manner is specified, with a radial distance between the connection pieces (2, 3) within the bellows (1). welded, loosely wound agraff hose (11) and an insulating layer (9, 10) made of heat-insulating, sound-absorbing, corrosion and heat-resistant material is arranged in the annular space between the metal hose (11) and bellows (1), which compresses by axial compression and thus optionally in the radial direction is brought into engagement with the profiling formed by the bellows (1) or the metal hose (11).
