Abstract
Abstract A material of high resistance against projectiles striking it at high speed consists essentially of at least two mutually superposed layers, each composed of aramid yarns. Within at least one layer, the aramid yarns are laid and connected to one another, and in at least one other layer the aramid yarns are woven. The laid aramid yarns can be designed either as filament yarns or as non-filament yarns. Likewise, the woven aramid yarns can also be designed either as filament yarns or as non-filament yarns.
