Method and device for measuring continuously the concentration of a gas component
Abstract
The invention relates to a method for continuously measuring the concentration of at least one component of a gas sample with a laser to act upon the gas sample with radiation of a frequency in the region of an absorption line of the component, with a detector device for recording a measurement signal corresponding to the intensity of the transmitted radiation and with a Evaluation circuit and device for carrying out the same. The object of the invention is to improve the method in such a way that continuous, fully automatic process monitoring under industrial conditions is made possible with a highly selective, long-term stable process gas measuring device. The object of the invention is achieved in that a single-mode laser is used which is linearly tuned over a gas-specific absorption line by means of fire-width modulation in such a way that at least two different intensity measurements of the transmitted radiation are obtained, from which the extinction and thus the concentration of the Gas component is determined.
