Abstract

The invention relates to an angle sensor (1) with a rotatable transmitter part (5) and a fixed transmitter part (9). The rotatable transmitter part (5) has a coil (10) that can be connected to an alternating current source, which is spirally wound on a carrier and extends on both sides of an axis of rotation (53) with a longitudinal axis running transversely to the latter. The fixed transmitter part (9) contains at least one sensor for electromagnetic fields, which is at a distance from the coil (10). The sensor extends on both sides of the axis of rotation (53) transversely to it and is connected on the output side to a circuit, the circuit components (22, 23, 24, 25, 26) to compensate for the asymmetries or inaccuracies in the arrangement of the encoder parts (5, 9) caused deviations of the output signal (s) of the fixed encoder part (9) from a fixed relationship between the angular position of the rotatable encoder part (5) and the output signal (s) of the fixed encoder part (9).
