Abstract

Abstract The chin strap (1) has two strap portions (2, 3), to be attached to the helmet, and an adjusting buckle (22), the ends (15, 16) of each strap portion (2, 3) being connected to each other by an elastically stretchable portion (17, 18, 19, 20). The ends (15, 16) of the two strap portions (2, 3) opposite the helmet attachment and forming a loop (11, 12) in each case each surround one of the two adjusting elements (13, 14) of the adjusting buckle (22) and the ends (15, 16) of the two strap portions (2, 3) surrounding the adjusting elements (13, 14) are connected to a strap (21) forming a loop (25) below the adjusting elements (13, 14). <IMAGE>
