Textile fire protection layer

Abstract

Abstract A textile fire-protection layer intended, in the safety field, to form a protective screen and to prevent any propagation of flame. The layer is interposed between an outer upholstery element (3) and an inner padding material (4), such as a polyurethane foam. The textile fire-protection layer (5) is composed of a layer of nonwoven and fireproof fibres of the polyacrylate type blended with aramid fibres. The invention relates to furnishing and, more particularly, seats in the aeronautical industry. <IMAGE>
