Abstract Translated from German Gesintertes mikrokristallines Schleifmittel, das aus mindestens 98,5 %α-Al2O3 besteht, eine Dichte von mindestens 95 % der theoretischen Dichte aufweist, wobei die Größe der Kristalliten des α-Al2-O3 kleiner als 4 µ vorzugsweise kleiner als 3 µ ist. Dieses Schleifmaterial zeichnet sich durch große Härte und Zähigkeit aus und ist besonders für das Hochdruckschleifen hervorragend geeignet. Sintered microcrystalline abrasive, which consists of at least 98.5% α-Al2O3, has a density of at least 95% of the theoretical density, the size of the crystallites of α-Al2-O3 being less than 4 µ, preferably less than 3 µ. This abrasive material is characterized by great hardness and toughness and is particularly suitable for high pressure grinding.
