Sample and hold circuit with a low sampling residue, and its use in the double correlated sampling of signals
Abstract
The circuit comprises, a first sampler-blocker circuit (1) on the input of which the signal to be sampled is applied, a second sampler-blocker circuit (2) identical to the first sampler circuit (1) on which the input is applied a continuous electrical voltage level, and a differential amplifier (3) coupled by a first input to the output of the first sample-hold circuit (1) and by a second input to the output of the second sample-hold circuit (2). The first and second sample-and-hold circuits (1, 2) are controlled with the same control pulses so that the sampled signal supplied at the output of the differential amplifier (3) is a pure signal free of the parasitic sampling signals supplied by the first sample-and-hold circuit (1). Application: sampling of signals supplied by charge transfer devices.
