Abstract

Abstract A process for producing physiologically active substances, such as a plasminogen activator selected from tPA, urokinase and single-chain pro-urokinase, by recombinant DNA technology is described. In the present process, a recombinant vector DNA having a DNA sequence therein which encodes a human physiologically active substance is transfected to established cells of human kidney origin to obtain transformed cells which produce and secrete the desired physiologically active substance.

Claim 1
Independent Claim 56 words
A process for producing physiologically active substance comprising the steps of (l) transforming established cells of human kidney origin with a vector DNA having therein a DNA sequence which encodes a human physiologically active substance, (2) growing the resulting transformed cells, and (3) collecting said physiologically active substance which has been secreted from said transformed cells.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 56 words
A process for producing physiologically active substance comprising the steps of (l) transforming established cells of human kidney origin with a vector DNA having therein a DNA sequence which encodes a human physiologically active substance, (2) growing the resulting transformed cells, and (3) collecting said physiologically active substance which has been secreted from said transformed cells.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 32 words
