Abstract Translated from German Vorrichtung zur reversiblen optischen Informationsspeicherung unter Verwendung von polymeren Flüssig­kristallen als Speichermedium, wobei die Vorrichtung einen orientierten Film aus einem flüssigkristallinen Hauptkettenpolymeren als Speicher­medium enthält und eingerichtet ist, um mittels einer Wärmequelle das Speichermedium zur Einspeicherung lokal aufzuheizen und über eine lokale Variation der Molekülorientierung die Information einzu­speichern.
