Abstract
Abstract A process for preparing a cyclic N,N'-dimethyl urea derivative by reacting a cyclic urea compound with formaldehyde, in a medium, in the presence of hydrogen and a hydrogenation catalyst. The reaction is carried out in the presence of a solid acid obtained by calcining sulfuric acid and aluminum oxide or sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid and aluminum oxide.
