Abstract

Abstract A control system of an X-ray apparatus for panoramic tomography for controlling the functions of panoramic equipment, such as the transport of the X-ray film and the rotation of the arm (11) to which the tube head (10) of the X-ray generator (40) and the cartridge (20) for the X-ray film (RF) with the film transport equipment (21, 22, 23, 24, 25) are fastened. The control system (100) controls, on the basis of control data and program stored into it, the speed (v d ) of the rotary motion motor (31) of said arm (11) and the speed v f ) of the film transport motor (21) and the distribution of these speeds (v d , v,) during an exposure sequence (to) independently of each other. With the panoramic device it is possible to sharply and with suitable exposing time photograph dental systems of varying sizes (figure 4) and varying shapes (figure 5). In addition to the speeds (v f , v d ) of said motors (21,31), the control system (100) may also control the anode current and/or the anode voltage of the X-ray generator (40) during the exposure sequence (to).

Claim 3
Dependent Claim 50 words
A control system in accordance with claim 1, characterized in that, in addition to the speeds (v f , v d ) of said motors (21, 31), the control system (100) also controls the anode current and/or the anode voltage of the X-ray generator (40) during the exposure sequence (t0).
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 42 words
A control system in accordance with claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the control system (100) also controls the aperture of the automatic primary blind (15) (figure 8) and/or the change of apertures (62) of the blind (figures 9 and 10).
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 89 words
A control system in accordance with one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the control system comprises a combination of a microprocessor (108) comrising the program memory (106) and the working memory (105), equipment (102, 103) for controlling the system, a connecting part connected to the bus (104) of the microprocessor (108), with which connecting part the microprocessor (108) is arranged to control the rotating directions and speed distributions of the rotary motor (31) of the arm (11) of the device and the film transport motor (21).
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 35 words
A control system in accordance with claim 4, characterized in that said connecting part controls, in addition to the motors (21, 31), also the motor (14) of the primary blind (15) via control electronics (112).
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 54 words
A control system in accordance with claims 4 or 5, characterized in that said connecting part of the microprocessor (108) also controls the X-ray genarator (40) feeding the tube head (10) of the device, and that the microprocessor (108) is arranged to receive status information from the tube end (10) via the connecting part.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 79 words
A control system in accordance with one of claims I to 6, characterized in that the control system (100) is programmed to control both the speed distribution (G) of the rotary motor (31) of said arm (11) and the speed distribution (H) of the film transport motor (21) independently of each other so that it is, under control of the system (100), possible to photograph with constant exposure in certain limits a chin profile of any shape or size.
