Abstract 1. A track-type transporter for stairs comprising an undercarriage (4), an endless track band (5) and a non-slidably but pivotably mounted adaptor (19) for receiving a wheelchair (2), characterised in that pivotably mounted ramps (10) for the wheels (3) of the wheelchair (2) are disposed on both sides of the undercarriage (4) of the transporter (1).
