Synergistic fungicidal composition

Claim 2

A fungicidal composition characterised in that it comprises: (A) a compound of the formula: wherein-R and R 1 are the same or different and are hydrogen or C 1 -C 8 alkyl; and (B) one or more compounds selected from imidazoles, triazoles, guanadines, halonitrobenzenes, manganese and zinc salts of ethylene-bis(dithiocarbamate), pyrimidines, dicarboxamides, pyrrolidines and thiurams.

Claim 3

A composition according to claim 1 characterised in that R and R 1 are hydrogen of C 1 -C 4 alkyl.

Claim 4

A composition according to claim 1 or claim 2 characterised in that R and R 1 are methyl.

Claim 5

A composition according to any of the preceding claims characterised in that the weight ratio of compound (a) to compound (b) is between about 1:5 and about 500:1.

Claim 6

A composition according to any of the preceding claims characterised in that the weight ratio of compound (a) to compound (b) is between about 1:2 and 200:1.

A fungicidal composition according to any of the preceding claims characterised in that said imidazole is selected from 1-[2,4-dichlorophenyl)-2-(2-propenyloxy)ethyl]-lH-imidazole, 1-N-propyl-N-[2-(2,4,6-trichlorophenoxy)ethyl] carbamoylimidazole, 1-[(2-[4-(4-bromophenoxy)phenyl-1,3-oxathiolan-2-yl)methyl]-1H-imidazole, 1-[(2-[4-fluorophenyl]-1,3-oxathiolan-2-yl)methyl]-lH-imidazole,2-(4-thiazolyl)-lH-benzimidazole, 1-[[2-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)-4-ethyl-1,3-dioxolan-2-yl] methyl] -lH-l,2,4-triazole, 1-[[2-(1,1'-biphenyl-4-yl)-1,3-oxathiolan-2-yl]methyl]-1H-1,2,4-triazole,1-[[2-(4-fluorophenyl)-1,3-oxathiolan-2-yl]methyl]-lH-1,2,4-triazole, 1-[[2-(4-phenoxyphenyl)-1,3-dithiolan-2-yl]methyl]-1H-1,2,4-triazole,1-[(2-[[(1,1'-biphenyl]-4-yl]-1,3-dithian-2-yl]methyl-1H-1,2,4-triazole,1-[[2-[2-(l-,methyl ethoxy)phenyl]-1,3-oxathiolan-2-yl]methyl]-1H-1,2,4-triazole, 4-chlorobenzyl N-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)-2-(1,2,4-triazol-1-yl) ethanethioimidate, 2,4'-difluoro- alpha-(1H-1,2,4-triazole-1-ylmethyl)benzhydryl alcohol, l,l'-iminobis(octamethylene) diguanadine, pentachloronitrobenzene, a manganese, zinc or mixed manganese and zinc salt of ethylene-bis(dithiocarbamate), 5-butyl-2-ethylamino-6-methyl-4-(3H)-pyrimidinone, alpha-(2-chlorophenyl)-alpha-(4-fluorophenyl)-5-pyrimidine methanol, 3-(3,5-dichlorophenyl)-N-(1-methyl-ethyl)-2,4-dioxo-l-imidazolidine carboxamide, tetramethylthiuram, and 1-(3,5-dichlorophenyl)-1-methoxy-methyl-2,4-pyrrolidindione.
