Abstract

Abstract A catalyst for polymerization of olefins which comprises a vanadium compound of the formula:(where R1 is an alkyl group or aryl group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms; and R2 is an alkyl group or aryl group having from 1 to 8 carbon atoms, or hydrogen) and the organoaluminum compound of the formula R2AIX (where R is a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, and X is a halogen atom).
