End fitting for a flexible metal hose
Abstract
The metal tube (3) has a corrugated tube (2) and a protective tube (8) made of a metal mesh. The corrugated tube (2) with the protective tube (8) are kept plastically deformed between an outer press ring (4) and an inner press ring (5). The outer press ring (4) is compressed inwards in the radial direction and the inner press ring (5) is expanded. There is thus a non-positive and positive connection in the end section, comprising the outer press ring (4), an end section of the metallic end pipe (2), an end section of the metallic protective tube (8) and the inner press ring (5). Consequently, there is a tubular, rigid laminate which can be connected to a pipe connection piece (1) in a materially integral manner. This provides an inexpensive and time-saving production of the end parts of metal hoses.
