A shutter assembly for use in a disc cartridge

Claim 2

A disc cartridge comprising a cartridge case having at least a head accessing opening, a disc rotatably mounted in the cartridge case and a shutter slidably mounted on the cartridge.,case for opening and closing said head accessing opening, the shutter being movable along a guide slot defined on the cartridge case, the shutter comprising a first plate and a second plate opposing to the first plate, a connection member for connecting the first plate and the second plate, and projection formed on at least any one of the first and second plate of the shutter in such a manner that the projection is slanted toward the connection member.

Claim 3

The disc cartridge according to claim 1, wherein said shutter is formed of synthetic resin materials as a whole.

Claim 4

The disc cartridge according to claim 1, wherein said shutter comprises a metal shutter body having a first plate, a second plate opposing to the first plate, a connection member for connecting said first and second plate so as to form a generally U character shape and projections made of synthetic resin materials mounted on a predetermined position on any one of the first or second plate.

Claim 5

The disc cartridge according to claim 1, wherein said shutter comprises a first plate and a second plate opposing to the first platem, each being formed of a metal plate, a connection member made of synthetic resin materials for connecting said first and second plate so as to form a generally U character shape and projections made of synthetic resin materials mounted on a predetermined position on any one of the first or second plate.

Claim 6

The disc cartridge according to claim 1, wherein the angle of the projection relative to the first or second plate is 95° to 120°.

Claim 7

The disc cartridge according to claim 2, wherein at least one opening is defined on at least any one of the first plate, second plate or connection member in such a manner that said openings extend from the projections in a direction of insertion of the disc case in the shutter.

Claim 8

A disc cartridge comprising a cartridge case having at least a head accessing opening, a disc rotatably mounted in the cartridge case and a shutter slidably mounted on the cartridge case for opening and closing said head accessing opening, the shutter being movable along a guide slot defined on the cartridge case, the shutter being formed of synthetic resin materials as a whole and comprising a first plate, a second plate opposing to the first plate, a connection member for connecting the first plate and the second plate, at least one projection made of synthetic resin materials on at least any one of the first and second plates of the shutter and at least one first opening so defined as to extend from the projection with a width equal to or greater than the width of the projection on the plate on which said projection is formed and at least one second opening defined on the other plate corresponding to the first opening.

Claim 9

A disc cartridge comprising a cartridge case having at least a head accessing opening, a disc rotatably mounted in the cartridge case and a shutter slidably mounted on the cartridge case for opening and closing said head accessing opening, the shutter being movable along a guide slot defined on the cartridge case, the shutter being formed of synthetic resin materials as a whole and comprising a first plate, a second plate opposing to the first plate, a connection member for connecting the first plate and the second plate, at least one projection made of synthetic resin materials on at least any one of the first and second plates of the shutter and at least one first opening so defined as to extend from the projection with a width equal to or greater than the width of the projection on the plate on which said projection is formed and at least one second opening defined on the other plate corresponding to the first opening.

Claim 10

The disc cartridge according to claim 7, wherein said projection is slanted toward the connection member.

Claim 11

The disc cartridge according to claim 7, wherein the angle of the projection relative to the plate on which said projection is formed is 95° to 120°.

Claim 12

The disc cartridge according to claim 7, wherein said first opening extends up to the connection member.

Claim 13

The disc cartridge according to claim 7, wherein said second opening has a same size and shape of the first opening.
