Claim 1
Independent Claim 104 words
A lotion shampoo composition comprising: (A) from 5% to 30% of a synthetic surfactant; (B) from 0.5% to 4 % of an ethylene glycol diester wherein the diester is a mixture of stearate and palmitate groups selected from mixtures containing from 10% to 42% stearate, mixtures containing from 55% to 80% stearate and mixtures thereof; (C) from 1% to 7% of an amide; ( D ) from 0.1% to 3% of a pyridinethione metal salt; and (E) water. wherein the viscosity of said composition is from 1500 CPS to 4500 CPS, said viscosity being achieved by the inclusion, if necessary, of appropriate viscosity modifiers.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 104 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 12 words
A shampoo composition according to Claim 1 wherein the surfactant is anionic.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 17 words
A shampoo composition according to Claim 1 or 2 wherein the pyridinethione metal salt is zinc pyridinethione.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 21 words
A shampoo composition according to any of Claims 1 to 3 wherein the level of surfactant is from 15% to 25%.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 23 words
A shampoo composition according to any of Claims 1 to 4 wherein the level of ethylene glycol diester is from 1% to 4%.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 24 words
A shampoo composition according to any of Claims 1 to 5 wherein the level of the pyridinethione metal salt is from 0.3% to 2%.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 25 words
A shampoo composition according to any of Claims 1 to 6 wherein the surfactant is selected from alkyl sulfates, ethoxylated alkyl sulfates and mixtures thereof.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 19 words
A shampoo composition according to any of Claims 1 to 7 which in addition contains a 1-hydroxy-2 pyridone compound.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 18 words
A shampoo composition according to any of Claims 1 to 8 which in addition contains a xylene sulfonate.
Claim 11
Independent Claim 47 words
A method of shampooing human hair comprising: (A) applying from O.lg to 20g of a composition according to any of Claims 1 to 9 to hair that has been wetted; ( B ) working said composition through said hair; and (C) rinsing said composition from said hair.
