Claim 1
Independent Claim 297 words
A medical instrument comprising a main body (11), in which a path for receiving a bar-like member (15, 49) is formed and a valve (16, 17, 70, 80, 90, 100) mounted on said main body (11), closing said path and having two end faces in the path direction and a slit (18, 19, 21, 71, 72, 81, 82, 91, 92, 101) for receiving said bar-like member (15, 49) and maintaining at least a liquid-tight seal with said bar-like member (15, 49) being passed therethrough, and for closing said path at least in a liquid tight-state when said bar-like member (15, 49) is absent from said path, said valve (16, 17, 70, 80, 90, 100) being made of a flexible and elastic material and including a first disk-like valve (16,70,80,90) having a first slit (18, 71, 81, 91) open only to one end face of said first disk-like valve (16, 70, 80, 90) and a second slit (19, 72, 82, 92) open only to the other end face thereof, said first and-second slits (18,19,71,72,81,82,91, 92) extending only partly through said first disk-like valve (16, 70, 80, 90) and crossing each other inside said first disk-like valve (16, 70, 80, 90) to connect each other at their intersection, characterized by a second disk-like valve (17, 100) in parallel and contacting said one end face of said first disk-like valve (16, 70, 80, 90) and having a slit (21,101) extending through and being open to both end faces of said second disk-like valve (17, 100), said slit (21, 101) of said second disk-like valve (17, 100) is a radial slit, a center thereof being in agreement with the intersection (20) of the slits (18, 19, 71, 72, 81, 82, 91, 92) of said first disk-like valve (16, 70, 80, 90).
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 297 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 26 words
The medical instrument according to claim 1, wherein said soft elastic material comprises a material selected from the group consisting of rubber, natural rubber, and sponge.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 42 words
The medical instrument according to claim 1, wherein said first disk-like valve (16, 70, 80, 90) has a height of not less than 1 mm, said first and second slits (18,19,71,72,81, 82,91,92) crossing at a length of not less than 0,4 mm.
Claim 5
