Curable composition containing an epoxy resin, an imidazolide and a polysulfonic resin

Abstract Translated from German Lagerstabile, heisshärtbare Gemische enthaltend (a) 100 Gewichtsteile eines Epoxidharzes (b) 3-15 Gewichtsteile eines Imidazolids der Formel worin z.B. R' = Phenyl, R 2 , R3, R 5 und R 7 gleich Wasserstoff und R 4 , R 6 und R 8 gleich Methyl sind, und (c) 2-50 Gewichsteile eines thermoplastischen Polysulfons mit einem durchschnittlichen Molekulargewicht von mindestens 10000. Die Gemische eignen sich insbesondere für die Herstellung von Formkörpern, Prepregs und Klebefilmen mit vorzüglichen thermischen und mechanischen Eigenschaften. Containing storage-stable, thermosetting mixtures (a) 100 parts by weight of an epoxy resin (b) 3-15 parts by weight of an imidazolide of the formula where, for example, R '= phenyl, R 2 , R3, R 5 and R 7 are hydrogen and R 4 , R 6 and R 8 are methyl, and (c) 2-50 parts by weight of a thermoplastic polysulfone with an average molecular weight of at least 10,000. The mixtures are particularly suitable for the production of moldings, prepregs and adhesive films with excellent thermal and mechanical properties.
