Aircraft observation system for collimated images
Abstract
System allowing the observation of a collimated high definition video image, or of a collimated high resolution synthetic image, or all of the two superimposed by means of head-down displays fitted to the dashboard, or alternatively with a head-up display. It comprises a first head-down collimator assembly constituted by a monochrome tube (1) and an optical objective (2) and a second head-down collimator assembly constituted by a color tube (3) and the same collimator objective, this thanks to the use a relay optic (4) and a partially transparent mirror (5) which transmits a cathode image and reflects the other, returning the intermediate image (I20) formed by the relay optics to the objective. The reflected image, as well as the transmitted image, is located at a distance from the optics 2 corresponding to the focal length. The invention presents multiple operational applications on board aircraft.
