Mixing valve apparatus

Claim 2

Mixing valve apparatus comprising: a pressure balancing valve (26) for equalizing pressures of hot and cold water from hot- and cold-water lines (22,23), first valve means (36) for controlling flow of hot water from said pressure balancing valve (26), second valve means (38) for controlling flow of cold water from said pressure balancing valve (26), first electric driving means (45) for moving said first valve means (36), second electric driving means (51) for moving said second valve means (38), a mixing conduit for mixing (56) hot and cold water from said first valve means and said second valve means (38), a temperature sensor (57) for detecting temperature of mixed water, setting means (65) for setting desired temperature of mixed water, and control means (64) for controlling said first electric driving means (45) and said second electric driving means (51) in accordance with detected data by said temperature sensor (57) and set data by said setting means.

Claim 3

Mixing valve apparatus in accordance with claim 1, wherein said first valve means (84) and second valve means (86) are disposed on a rod (87) and are moved by one electric driving means (88).

Claim 4

Mixing valve apparatus in accordance with claim 1, wherein said pressure balancing valve (26) comprises a cylinder (27) wherein plural apertures are disposed around thereof, a spool (221) which has a piston (28) on a center part thereof for isolating a hot water passageway and a cold water passageway from each other and two valve members on both end parts thereof for equalizing pressures of hot and cold water.

Claim 5

Mixing valve apparatus in accordance with claim 3, wherein said two valve members (29,30) have fins (33,34).

Mixing valve apparatus in accordance with claim 4, wherein said fins are twisted.

Claim 7

Mixing valve apparatus in accordance with claim 1, wherein said control means (64) and said electric driving means are contained in a housing (122) and said setting part (123,124) is disposed on a surface of said housing (122).

Claim 8

Mixing valve apparatus comprising: a pressure balancing valve for equalizing pressures of hot and cold water from hot- and cold-water lines, first valve means for controlling flow of hot water from said pressure balancing valve, second valve means for controlling flow of cold water from said pressure balancing valve, first electric driving means for shifting said first valve means, second electric driving means for shifting said second valve means, a mixing conduit (56) for mixing hot and cold water from said first valve means and said second valve means, a temperature sensor (57) for detecting temperature of mixed water, a flow rate sensor (58) for detecting flow of mixed water, setting means (65) for setting desired temperature, desired flow of mixed water, and sum of hot- and cold-discharge water mixture, control means (64) for driving said first electric driving means and second electric driving means in accordance with detected data by said temperature sensor and set data by said setting means.

Claim 9

Mixing valve apparatus comprising: a pressure balancing valve for equalizing pressures of hot and cold water from hot- and cold-water lines, first valve means for controlling flow of hot water from said pressure balancing valve, second valve means for controlling flow of cold water from said pressure balancing valve, first electric driving means for shifting said first valve means, second electric driving means for shifting said second valve means, a mixing conduit (56) for mixing hot and cold water from said first valve means and said second valve means, a temperature sensor (57) for detecting temperature of mixed water, a flow rate sensor (58) for detecting flow of mixed water, setting means (65) for setting desired temperature, desired flow of mixed water, and sum of hot- and cold-discharge water mixture, control means (64) for driving said first electric driving means and second electric driving means in accordance with detected data by said temperature sensor and set data by said setting means.

Claim 10

Mixing valve apparatus in accordance with claim 7, wherein said pressure balancing valve comprises a cylinder wherein plural apertures are disposed around thereof, a spool which has a piston on a center part thereof for isolating a hot water passageway from a cold water passageway and two valve members on end parts thereof for equalizing pressures of hot and cold water.

Claim 11

Mixing valve apparatus in accordance with claim 8, wherein said two valve members have fins.

Mixing valve apparatus in accordance with claim 9, wherein said fins are twisted.

Mixing valve apparatus in accordance with claim 8, wherein said control means and said electric driving means are contained in a housing and said setting part is disposed on a surface of said housing.

Claim 14

Mixing valve apparatus comprising: a pressure balancing valve (26) for equalizing pressures of hot and cold water from hot- and cold-water lines, first valve means for controlling flows of hot water comprising a valve seat (112)=with aperture (140,141) and valve member with aperture (142,143), second valve means for controlling flows of cold water comprising a valve seat (120) with apertures (140,141) and a valve member with apertures (142,143) and piled in coaxial manner, first electric driving means (116) for moving said first valve means, a mixing conduit (117) for mixing hot and cold water from said first valve means and said second valve means, valve means for controlling flow of discharge water mixture, second electric driving means (134) for moving said second valve means, a temperature sensor for detecting temperature of mixed water, a flow rate sensor (118) for detecting flow of discharge water mixture, setting means for setting desired temperature, desired flow and sum of discharge water mixture, control means for said first electric driving means and second electric driving means in accordance with detected data by said temperature sensor and said flow rate sensor, set data by said setting means.

Claim 15

Mixing valve apparatus comprising: a pressure balancing valve (26) for equalizing pressures of hot and cold water from hot- and cold-water lines, first valve means for controlling flows of hot water comprising a valve seat (112)=with aperture (140,141) and valve member with aperture (142,143), second valve means for controlling flows of cold water comprising a valve seat (120) with apertures (140,141) and a valve member with apertures (142,143) and piled in coaxial manner, first electric driving means (116) for moving said first valve means, a mixing conduit (117) for mixing hot and cold water from said first valve means and said second valve means, valve means for controlling flow of discharge water mixture, second electric driving means (134) for moving said second valve means, a temperature sensor for detecting temperature of mixed water, a flow rate sensor (118) for detecting flow of discharge water mixture, setting means for setting desired temperature, desired flow and sum of discharge water mixture, control means for said first electric driving means and second electric driving means in accordance with detected data by said temperature sensor and said flow rate sensor, set data by said setting means.

Claim 16

Mixing valve apparatus in accordance with claim 12, wherein said pressure balancing valve comprises a cylinder wherein plural apertures are disposed around thereof, a spool which has a piston on a center part thereof for isolating a hot water passageway from a cold water passageway and two valve members on end parts thereof for equalizing pressures of hot and cold water.

Mixing valve apparatus in accordance with claim 14, wherein said fins are twisted.
