Abstract @ The slip issuing apparatus comprises a support or a container (1, 3) for supporting or containing plural kinds of slips having different slip widths, reparately; a printing device (7) having a printing head (71) for determining each printing range of the printing head according to each specified kind of slip and for printing predetermined data on the specified slip within each determined printing range; a conveying device (2, 4) for supplying a specified slip out of the slips to the printing device; and another conveying device (5) for conveying the slip printed by the printing device to an outlet (8). Since the printing range can be changed according to slip widths, it is possible to print slips of plural kinds with a single printing device and to discharge the printed slips to a single outlet.

A slip issuing apparatus comprising: (a) first means (1, 3) for supporting or containing a first kind of slip; (b) second means (1, 3) for supporting or containing a second kind of slip having a slip width different from that of the first kind of slip; (c) printing means (7) having a single printing head (71) movable within a printing range corresponding to a wider slip width of the at-least two kinds of slips; (d) first conveying means (2, 4) for conveying the first kind of slip supported or contained by said first supporting or containing means to said printing means; (e) second conveying means (2, 4) for conveying the second kind of slip supported or contained by said second supporting or containing means to said printing means; (f) control means (100) for controlling said first and second conveying means (2, 4) so as to convey a specified kind of slip to said printing means in response to a designation of the kind of slip to be issued and for shifting the single printing head within a predetermined printing range according to the specified kind of slip to print predetermined data on the slip; (g) single slip discharge outlet means (8); and (h) third conveying means (5) for conveying the slip printed by said printing means to said slip discharge outlet means.
