Abstract

Abstract The invention relates to an injection mould against at least one of the walls of the form cavity an insert piece (5) is arranged, held in a preselected position by securing means connectable to a source for fluid under underpressure for holding, at least partially as a result of said underpressure, the or each insert piece against the wall concerned. In the case of specific objects use is made of punching means (31, 32) for punching a central hole out of a shaped object (30). Preferably the punching means (31, 32) comprise a cylindrical part which forms part of the one mould portion, said cylindrical part having a front circumferential edge (32) with a form adapted to the shape of the hole to be punched out of an object, said part being axially movable away from and towards the other mould portion, and that adjusting means are available to adjust the distance between the frontcircumferential edge (32) and the forming surface of the other mould portion situated opposite it.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 14
Claim 1
Independent Claim 110 words
Injection mould comprising at least two mould parts which are mutually movable between a closed position, in which they bound a form cavity, said cavity connecting to a pressure conduit for placing heated plastic under pressure in said cavity, and an opened position, in which a shaped product can be removed, against at least one of the walls of which form cavity an insert piece is arranged, held in a pre-selected position by securing means, characterised in that said securing means are connectable to a source of fluid under underpressure for holding, at least partially as a result of said underpressure, the or each insert piece against the wall concerned.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 110 words
Injection mould comprising at least two mould parts which are mutually movable between a closed position, in which they bound a form cavity, said cavity connecting to a pressure conduit for placing heated plastic under pressure in said cavity, and an opened position, in which a shaped product can be removed, against at least one of the walls of which form cavity an insert piece is arranged, held in a pre-selected position by securing means, characterised in that said securing means are connectable to a source of fluid under underpressure for holding, at least partially as a result of said underpressure, the or each insert piece against the wall concerned.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 39 words
Injection mould as claimed in claim 1 for manufacturing disc-shaped objects, characterised in that the insert piece is a sheet arranged against a flat wall and that said wall displays at least one recess connectable to the underpressure source.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 22 words
Injection mould as claimed in claim 2, characterised in that the or each recess extends in the circumferential zone of the wall.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 22 words
Injection mould as claimed in claim 2 or 3, characterised in that the or each recess is filled with a porous material.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 17 words
Injection mould as claimed in claim 4 characterised in that the porous material is a sinter material.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 44 words
Injection mould as claimed in claims 2 - 5, characterised in that the sheet displays a central hole and that in addition mechanical means are available for setting and holding said sheet in the pre-selected position by gripping on the rim of said hole.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 25 words
Injection mould as claimed in any of the foregoing claims, characterised in that the pressure conduit emerges into the form cavity via a diverging portion.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 24 words
Injection mould as claimed in any of the foregoing claims, characterised by punching means for punching a central hole out of a shaped object.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 94 words
Injection mould as claimed in claim 8, characterised in that the punching means comprise a cylindrical part which forms part of the one mould portion, said cylindrical part having a front circumferential edge with a form adapted to the shape of the hole to be punched out of an object, said part being axially movable away from and towards the other mould portion, and that adjusting means are available to adjust the distance between the front-circumferential edge of said cylindrical part and the forming surface of the other mould portion situated opposite to it.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 18 words
Injection mould as claimed in claim 9, characterised in that the adjusting means are operable from the outside.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim 68 words
Injection mould as claimed in claim 8, 9 or 10, characterised in that the wall of the form cavity opposite the mouth of the pressure conduit displays a central recess converging towards said form cavity, the bottom of which recess is formed by the end surface of an ejector which serves to eject the part detached from the shaped product in the punching out of the central hole.
Claim 13
Dependent Claim 39 words
Injection mould as claimed in any of the foregoing claims, characterised by a coating of titanium nitride applied to the wall of the form cavity and/or at least on the surface of the insert piece directed towards said cavity.
Claim 14
Dependent Claim 30 words
Injection moulding unit for an injection mould as claimed in claim 1, characterised by controlling means for actuating the underpressure source in at least the opened position of the mould.
