Abstract Translated from German Die Erfindung betrifft eine neue, kristallwasserhaltige Kristallmodifikation des Dinatrium-3-amino-1-hydroxypropan-1,1-diphosponates der Formel <IMAGE> bzw. ein Verfahren zur Herstellung derselben. Diese ist zur oralen Behandlung von Störungen des Calcium- und Phosphatstoffwechsels und damit verbundener Erkrankungen von Warmblütern geeignet. The invention relates to a new crystal water-containing crystal modification of the disodium-3-amino-1-hydroxypropane-1,1-diphosponate of the formula <IMAGE> and a process for the production thereof. This is suitable for the oral treatment of disorders of calcium and phosphate metabolism and related diseases of warm-blooded animals.
