Abstract Translated from German Bei geeigneter Wahl der Flüssigkristallparameter K3/K1 und Δε/ε wird es möglich, bei elektrooptischen Anzeigeelementen sowohl eine minimale Blickwinkelabhängigkeit als auch gleichzeitig eine steile elektrooptische Kennlinie bei Betrieb im ersten Transmissionsminimum zu erzielen. With a suitable choice of the liquid crystal parameters K3 / K1 and Δε / ε, it is possible to achieve a minimal viewing angle dependency with electro-optical display elements as well as a steep electro-optical characteristic curve when operating in the first transmission minimum.
