Abstract
Abstract A process for manufacturing a structural reinforcing member is characterized in that a fibre body (1) comprising a plurality of threads (3) made of reinforcing fibre is impregnated with a hardenable material (4) and is introduced into a drawing die (5) having a desired sectional shape so as to be formed into a drawn body (1) having a predetermined sectional shape, whereupon a tape (7) is coiled therearound so as to cover the same and the drawn fibre body (1) is subjected to a hardening treatment. The reinforcing members can be used, for example, for reinforcing concrete.

Claims Analysis
Total Claims: 15
Claim 1
Independent Claim
84 words
A process for manufacturing a structural reinforcing member characterized in that a fibre body (1) comprising a plurality of threads (3) of reinforcing fibre is impregnated with a hardenable material (4) and is introduced into a drawing die (5) having a desired sectional shape so as to be formed into a drawn body (1) having a predetermined sectional shape, whereupon a tape (7) is coiled therearound so as to cover the same and the drawn fibre body (1) is subjected to a hardening treatment.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
56 words
A process as claimed in claim 1, wherein a string member (11) is coiled around the drawn fibre body (1) covered with the coiled tape (7) so that the coiled string member (11) may eat into or penetrate the drawn fibre body (1) and thereafter the drawn fibre body (1) is subjected to the hardening treatment.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
72 words
A process as claimed in claim 1, wherein, after a shaping member (12) is provided on the periphery of the drawn fibre body (1), the tape (7) is coiled around the fibre body (1) and the shaping member (12) so as to cover the same, the shaping member (12) is forced to eat into or penetrate the fibre body (1), and thereafter the fibre body (1) is subjected to the hardening treatment.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
96 words
A process as claimed in claim 1, wherein the drawn fibre body (1) covered with the coiled tape (7) is subjected to the hardening treatment so as to become a semi-rigid body, and thereafter the coiled tape (7) is removed and at least one projection forming member (13) is provided on the periphery of the drawn fibre body and the drawn fibre body (1) thus assembled with the projection forming member (13), rigid one, is subjected to the hardening treatment so that the projection forming member (13) becomes fixed to the completely hardened fibre body (1).
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
20 words
A process as claimed in any of claims 1 to 4, wherein the hardenable material is a heat setting material.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim
19 words
A process as claimed in any of claims 1 to 4, wherein the hardenable material is a cold-setting material.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim
30 words
A process as claimed in any of claims 1 to 4, wherein the fibre body (1) comprises a collection of a number of parallel threads (3), with or without twist.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim
31 words
A process as claimed in any of claims 1 to 4, wherein the thread (3) is selected from a monofilament or yarn such as mulfilaments, strand, sliver, roving or the like.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim
20 words
A structural reinforcing member characterized in that it comprises a hardened fibre body (1) having a coiled groove (14) therearound.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim
20 words
A structural reinforcing member characterized in that it comprises a hardened fibre body (1) having a coiled groove (14) therearound.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim
23 words
A structural reinforcing member characterized in that it comprises a hardened fibre body (1) having a waveform groove along the longitudinal direction thereof.
Claim 13
Dependent Claim
23 words
A structural reinforcing member characterized in that it comprises a hardened fibre body (1) having a waveform groove along the longitudinal direction thereof.
Claim 14
Dependent Claim
24 words
A structural reinforcing member characterized in that it comprises a hardened fibre body (1) and at least one projection forming member (13) fixed thereto.
Claim 15
Dependent Claim
24 words
A structural reinforcing member characterized in that it comprises a hardened fibre body (1) and at least one projection forming member (13) fixed thereto.
