Abstract

Abstract An electric remote control mirror apparatus comprising boss portion (39) mounted on a mirror body (29) fixing the mirror (28), a concave surface (36) formed at the portion (35) integrally formed with the mirror housing (26) for receiving the mirror body (29), a pivot connection (30) being composed of the boss portion (39) and the concave surface (36), a pressure applying member (42) having the surface to be connected to the inner surface of the boss portion (39) and the end portion (41) to be connected to the portion of the mirror housing (26) by passing through the boss portion (39), a coil spring (43) for pressing the member (42) to the boss portion (39), thereby to surely support the mirror body (29) within the mirror housing (26), wherein the rotating resistance of the pivot connection (30) can be easily and precisely adjustable, the rotation of the mirror body (29) around the pivot axis (100) is prevented thereby to avoid vibration and change of inclination of the mirror body (29).

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 4
Claim 1
Independent Claim 187 words
An electric remote control mirror apparatus including a mirror (28), a mirror Bcdy (29) fixing said mirror, a mirror hcusing (26) receiving said mirror body, pivot connection (30) for pivotably supporting said mirror body, two ball bases (35) located on respective lines perpendicular to each other and crossing at said pivot connection, threaded rods (31) each of which has a ball (32) at the end thereof and a screw on the peripheral surface thereof, screw members(47) for being connected to said threaded rod respectively, transmission means (53) for transmitting driving force to said screw members, and electric motors (52) for driving said screw members through said transmission means, CHARACTERIZED IN THAT said screw members each has a boss-like protrusion (47a) provided with a pair of slots (47b), one of the slots being twisted in relative to the other of the slots by the angle corresponding_ to one pitch of the screw of the threaded rod, and the spring member has two legs twisted to each other and adapted to be inserted into the slots so as to pinch the valley of the screw of the threaded rod.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 187 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 68 words
An electric remote control mirror apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that each leg of the spring member has outwardly convexed portion (51a) formed so as to fit the valley of the screw of the threaded rod, and the inner wall of the slot is formed so as to receive the convexed portion when the legs are subject to overtorque through the threaded rod , expanding outwardly.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 47 words
An electric remote control mirror apparatus according to claim 2, characterized in that said legs of the spring member have outwardly extended portions (51b), provided continuous with the convexed portions, respectively, thereby preventing from dropping out of the slots when subject to overtorque through the threaded rod.
