Abstract
Abstract Improved prostheses which are secured to surrounding bone by growth of surrounding bone tissue are described. The ingrowth of surrounding bone is encouraged by coating the stress-bearing member of the prostheses with a purified, sterile, non-immunogenic collagen preparation.
