Der eine Turbolader ist ständig in Betrieb, der andere wird bei Öffnen eines in seine Abgasleitung eingebauten Zuschaltventils in Betrieb gesetzt, indem durch den sich aufbauenden Ladedruck ein in sine Ladeluftleitung eingesetztes Rückschlagventil geöffnet wird. The cylinders of an internal combustion engine are combined into two groups, each of which is assigned an exhaust gas turbocharger. One turbocharger is always in operation, the other is put into operation when a cut-in valve built into its exhaust line is opened by opening a check valve inserted in its charge air line due to the build-up of boost pressure.
